Physicist, Engineer (m/f)

You have completed your academic studies and can help us with the following:

Skills

  • Training in physics/ optics with  focus on laser technology/ laser physics
  • Knowledge in electronics and handling of common laboratory equipment ( power meter, spectrum analyzer (optical/ HF), autocorrelator, oscilloscope etc…)
  • proficiency in handling of fiber laser components
  • goal-oriented, autonomous problem-solving
  • distinct analytical capabilties
  • having fun working in a laboratory (no “theoretician”)
  • teamplaner, development of lasers in a interdisciplinary team that includes physicists, electronics engineers, software engineers and applications engineers.

We are looking for additional staff for our software department:

Computer scientist (m/f), electronic engineer (m/f), physicist (m/f)

You have completed your studies at a university and are interested in complex laser development projects.

Ideally, you have experience with the following tasks and tools:

Mission

  • Planing and design of graphic user interface (GUI), mainly for MS Windows operating systems (Win 7/8/10)
  • project planning and implementation of control concepts for existing as well as newly developed laser sources, e.g. the ultrashort pulse laser CEPHEUS
  • Conception and planning of small to medium scale software projects; from requirements review to implementation and maintenance.
  • Customer relations: 1st level support/ software requests, etc.
  • Close and inter-departmental cooperation within our firm (e.g. with electronic and sales)
  • Interface programming (RS232/RS485/TCP/IP)

Tools

  • Embarcadero Delphi 2007/XE5
  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 / 2012 / 2013 (.NET / C#)
  • Eclipse / C++
  • Linux / KDevelop C++ (desirable)
  • FPGA Programmierung VHDL (desirable)
