Overview

The function package SMART is available for the CamVisionPro and CamVisionCombi versions. It includes an automatic shape detection feature with integrated user-friendly teaching-assistant and enables enhanced process-control before and after the laser marking process, giving the operator 100% quality control of the laser process.

Shape Detection

The SMART functionality package includes an automatic shape detection capability. For the user the need for time-consuming preparation of the workpiece in the laser system as well as the laser software gets minimized. An assistant intuitively introduces the Shape-Detection capabilities of our system and guides the machine operator through the setup of a specific workpiece in the system. After successfully completing this teaching process, the laser system is capable of automatically detecting the component and aligning the laser marking with respect to its lateral and angular position.

Process Control

With this solution it is possible to integrate Pre- and Post-processes into the procedure. The laser software can check the workpiece prior to the actual marking an confirm its eligibility for laser marking. The automatic shape detection subsequently aligns the laser marking on the workpiece. After the marking process, post-process checks guarantee for a 100% quality control of the laser marking making our camera system SMART the most thorough and easy-to-use product on the market.
